"An artisan rum produced by distilling sugar cane, and with a higher
alcohol content than legal rum. Pitorro is traditionally cured and aged
by adding fruits (coconut, pineapple, tamarind, strawberries) and
letting the mixture sit or buried for several months.
Pitorro in Puerto
Rico is consumed during the Holiday season (November trough February)."
