Gilles Eichenbaum combines a methodical approach to detail and composition with an offbeat sense of style, blending unlikely opposites likely to go unnoticed at estate liquidation sales – common things found in closets and kitchens, not featured on tables or mantels.




While each piece is definitely significantly transformed, not everything is ‘lost’ in translation from old to new. Carefully cut patterns that allow light through the sides of an old cooking pot, for example, cast decorative shadows consistent with vintage ornamental designs.
