The Emmental Cheese Holes Stairs

 

Biljana Jovanovic, a croatian architect based in Budapest, Hungary, recently completed interior stairs for a young, creative family with two young children in their newly refurbished apartment just below unesco heritage site of buda castle.

I tried to respect the historical ambiance of the building and the apartment and, but i also try to add a modern touch to the apartment that would be in harmony with the lifestyle and of the family using it. so i designed these stairs that use the motif of circles and semicircles that can be found on a huge old window in the apartment.
